It has been a while, but YotuWP is back and better than ever!

We know there was a long stretch without updates (since version 1.3.14 in June 2024), and we sincerely appreciate our community’s patience. Today, we are thrilled to announce the official release of YotuWP 1.4 and 1.4.1.

What’s New in 1.4 & 1.4.1?

• WordPress & PHP Compatibility: We’ve fully updated the plugin core to ensure smooth sailing on the latest WordPress versions and modern PHP environments.
• Bug Fix – Show Description: We heard your feedback loud and clear! The “Show description” setting in Grid, List, and Mix templates was generating text in the backend but not displaying it on the frontend. This is now completely fixed.
• YouTube Shorts Galleries: You can now create beautiful galleries specifically for YouTube Shorts.
• @Handle Channel URLs: We have added support for the new YouTube @handle channel URLs, making it easier than ever to link your channel directly.

A Renewed Commitment to Support

We apologize to anyone who felt the plugin was abandoned or who didn’t receive a timely reply in the support forums over the past two years. That’s a fair criticism, and we are working hard to fix it.

We are actively monitoring the WordPress.org support forum again and are committed to maintaining YotuWP as the best, lightweight YouTube embed plugin for WordPress.
